For the standard DAB E.SYBOX pump, the maximum flow rate is 120 litres per minute (l/min). However, the actual flow rate you will experience depends on a few factors, such as:
- The water demand of your system
- The head (height) you need to pump the water
- The pipe size your water is travelling through
- The style of shower head or tap outlet you are using
Below you will see the manufacturers performance data of the DAB Esybox. You will note the curve rate at maximum flow reaches 120 litres per minutes, however the corresponding pressure at this performance would be very low.
A more realistic indication of real life performance of this pump is to look at how many litres per minute can be produced at 450KPA in pressure, also known as 45m of head pressure. For instance, the minimum required pressure delivered by many mains water (town water) authorities is 430KPA, so 450KPA is a great general pressure indication to set as a benchmark. 450KPA is also generally perceived as an acceptable level of pressure in any given household.
From the chart above, we can observe the DAB Esybox can deliver approx. 60 litres per minute at 450KPA of pressure. This means if 6 showers were running at the same time using 10 litres per minute each, the pressure for each shower would be 450KPA.
While many households will not have 6 showers running at once, they may have 2 showers running, plus a tap in the kitchen, plus the machine, plus the dishwasher at one given time. The Esybox has fantastic capability in this instance, as pressure can be constantly maintained with this amount of consumption.
